History
Pacific Construction Systems, Inc. is a privately held construction company located in Bellevue, WA. In 1966, our founder, Max O. Jensen moved his family from Salt Lake City, Utah to Bellevue, Washington and started a three-person metal stud, drywall, and taping company originally known as Pacific Partitions Systems, Inc. “Mr. J,” as he was respectfully called by his employees, quickly developed relationships with the prominent General Contractors in the Seattle area and capitalized on Puget Sound's phenomenal growth from the mid-1970s into the 1980s. During his tenure, Mr. Jensen pioneered the advancement of the Wall & Ceiling Industry and was instrumental in developing strong ties between labor and management that still exist today. His leadership created a lasting reputation of reliable service with our customers.
After 19 years of working with his father building the company, Mr. Jensen's son, Chris, became President and Chief Executive Officer and purchased the company. To more effectively represent the company's expansion of services provided to our clients, Chris changed the name of the company to Pacific Construction Systems, Inc., commonly known as PCS. Along with metal studs and drywall, PCS now includes fireproofing, plastering, interior construction, painting, and decorative plastering finishes that have expanded the company into the Northwest's largest full-service specialty contractor. In order to meet the challenges of growth, Chris fostered a PCS family atmosphere. He personally and professionally invested in his employees by promoting growth through education, recognition and team building. Our PCS family includes more than 40 employees with 25 years experience and over 100 employees with at least 15 years experience. This family dynamic has created a sense of loyalty and teamwork that promotes strong working relationships with our customers and the delivery of quality projects. Dedication to family and an unwavering commitment to the employees is the foundation of our company and is Chris Jensen's legacy.
Chris Jensen's wife, Carla Jensen, succeeded Chris in September 2000, following his untimely passing. Since assuming leadership of PCS, Carla has created a strong, experienced Executive Management Team and established a sound corporate financial base. In order to meet the demands of a challenging marketplace and maintain both customer satisfaction and a competitive edge, Carla challenged her Executive Management Team to develop and implement a project management system that will continually evaluate and improve our performance. This was accomplished by capitalizing on the collective experience of our core group of employees and honest feedback from our customers. Carla's commitment to process and systems has improved our consistency throughout the organization, enhancing our ability to deliver quality projects that ensure customer satisfaction.
Pacific Construction Systems, Inc. is committed to maintaining its founding values while developing and utilizing leading edge technology, products, and systems when conducting business. We will continue to strengthen our company by investing in employees that believe in our core values and building trusting relationships with our customers, therefore maintaining our position as the Pacific Northwest's premiere specialty contractor.
